So we have to make masala for this, so we will make the masala paste in a slightly different style, so here I have heated oil in the pan, I will put onion in the oil, we have to deep fry the onion and take it out.

So I have kept only two to three spoons of oil in the pan, we will put two medium sized tomatoes in it and fry the tomatoes lightly. As soon as the tomatoes become a little dark i.e. slightly cooked, we will take it out, so you can see here. The tomatoes have absorbed all the oil, hence the quantity of oil has to be kept less here.

Now we will let it cool down a bit and then grind it, so what we will do while it is cooling down is that we will put the oil that we had taken out back in the pan, we will put a big cardamom and 2 inches of cinnamon in the pan. Fry it a little and then add it to it.
